Welcome!

Welcome, whoever and wherever you are, to UNFIXABLE: a blog! Its only fitting that to greet you here is this hastily and crudely drawn picture of me wearing a celebratory "did it" shirt and missing a nose for some reason. It was spontaneous, a bit questionable, honest, flawed and creative...much like this blog will be. I have indeed "done it". I have taken a purposeful step toward doing what I was put here to do. Write, elevate, share, repeat. I thank you for being a part of this journey with me.

Where to start, huh? The name seems like a good place.

So, I chose UNFIXABLE as the title after coming to a few "shot to the gut" kind of human realizations. One of which was that for much of my life I had lived life like it was something to be fixed rather than to be experienced or enjoyed and that mode of being led to a breakdown not long after my 30th B-Day. I, like many of us, had worked tirelessly to create an identity that I hoped would bring me happiness and love and all the other very fluffy ideas we are conditioned to desire from life. But..that identity crumbled bit by bit before my eyes and guess what?...I couldn't fix it. I helplessly watched all I had come to know myself as fall away and what remained was all that I AM. This leads to another of those very abrupt human realizations I tripped over: You can't "fix" something that is ever evolving and in constant motion such as life. Actually, its a pretty unnatural urge all together; one rooted in fear of vulnerablility, the illusion of control and yes, that all important need to be loved. For me this was pretty damn shocking and, not to sound too dramatic, world shattering. The beauty of it all is that I have been given and have accepted the opportunty to create a new world. One that is the inverse of what I developed in the past. One framed by concepts like surrender, transparency, uninhibited creativity, spiritual fulfillment and straght up silliness.

This blog will be a reflection of my effort to revolutionize life...one odd, instrospective, compulsive thought at a time. It will capture inspirational moments, challenge conventional thought, maybe pump a few laughs out of you and hopefully keep you sharp on your path.

I'm excited. You're gonna get a whooole lot of me!

Maybe more than I've ever given.
