So a little more than a month ago I had this really powerful day.

I arose feeling empowered.  I had just come off of an 11 day fast to close out September. Everyday during and since I'd wake up at about 7 am.  So I went outside.  Work on attuning to (memorizing as some know it) some new pieces, meditated with my stones and felt even more...powerful...than I have in a long time.  I remember specifically re-confirming within myself that what I must do is completely trust my gifts, my path and my purpose.

Days like these, however the divine approaches you, are special. I think sometimes that they can feel so few and far in between that we struggle to truly be receptive to them. I know I've done it. It is in these moments, however, that we get indellible info. Things we can come back to during tough times to be reminded that we are where we should be.

On this day, I watched two videos on youtube. Seemingly random and sharing nothing in common...especially if looking only at the surface. Shouts out to the COLORS and Goalcast channels...they produce some really dope, enlightening content. I highly recommend subscribing if you haven't already.

They hit me in two very distinct and insteresting way but brought me to on very sobering space.

First, was this gem of an EarthGang joint (which has stayed on repeat for a month straight). the title "Up" says pretty much all there is to know about the expression. For those that haven't expereienced their music, they have a highly creative, spiritual and tough provoking style that is pretty rare for this era of music.

Of course you'll have to listen to it for yourself but among the lyrics that amped my vibration were these:

By Johnny Venus (the brotha on the left),

"See triumph comes from dyin' Sometime joy comes from cryin' Sometime healing come from killin'"

and by Doctur Dot (the brotha to the right),

"Okay look, paid dues, no more fake news I'ma do everything that they said that I can't do"

Then while looking at my google newsfeed I came across this name: Claire Wineland. I had never heard of her before this day and decided to click. She was trending beacuse she had just passed away after a lifelong battle with Cystic Fibrosis...at just 21 years old. During her time she had become celebrated

as a speaker, vlogger and all around inspirational

figure.

So i jumped to youtube to interact with her message and this was the video I felt drawn to most. I click watched and was amazed! She was such an eloquent and rhytmic speaker.

Here she spoke about empowerment over pity, which she relate to the way the world looks at people with illnesses and the idea that the human family does so much more waiting than actual living. Super dope.

These are a few of the quotes that really resonated with me:

"Life is not going to stop unfolding itself to you just because you are sick or just because you life isn't how you think it's supposed to be. There is still beauty."

"Innovation happens, art happens because of suffering."

"We have something to give and we realize that its what we are creating that matters."

I think the common thread is certainly power. Something we too infrequently identify with. Specifically, that where you are is a point of power even more so when it doesn't feel like it or when the outside perception is one of weakness. Power in suffering is a common thread as well.

The ultimate actuality is that you are unstoppable. The only true hinderence to fulfillment, joy, pure expression, love, light, truth...is...us...standing in our own way. Once we are enlightened to know that if we choose greatness, or to be heard or to be healed we already possess it and its clear that no factor can stand in the way of that manifestation. Even something like suffering (and our preconditioned, warped concept of it as negative) works toward the highest.

We are UP, we are BEAUTIFUL,

and, likely, We are much more CONNECTED to an

endless POWER source than we've allowed ourselves to realized.
